Stress and the Nervous System
When we speak of stress we need to address the nervous system
and its many challenges. The nervous system is like the wiring
in our house. Cut the wires and part of the house isn’t
functioning properly. When the body is under a lot of stress it
also doesn’t function properly.
The nervous system and the immune system work closely together.
The brain has the job of transmitting information from the immune
system to the nervous system and vice versa. Methods that suppress
pain do not heal the cause.
Evidence shows that physical activity releases endorphins which
are the body’s natural pain killers. However, there are
times when the body is not strong enough and needs to repair and
rest.
